The feedback surrounding the decision announced earlier this week regarding temporarily discontinuing the In-Y Daycare child watch program has been a topic of discussion within our YMCA and Prairie Grit Adaptive Sports staff and volunteer leadership.
We want to sincerely thank those who have provided encouragement and support as Prairie Grit enhances their mission and services within our facility. This partnership is important to both organizations as we know that together we will be able to achieve great things now and in the future.
As you can imagine, this decision was not an easy one to make and many factors were considered. The feedback received highlighting the health, well-being, and family-oriented needs of our members and community has encouraged our leaders to reassess the space, staffing, and financial needs our YMCA must face to keep the In-Y Daycare Child Watch program open while still allowing Prairie Grit to expand within the facility. Please stay tuned for updates as our leadership teams consider options to continue providing this service to our members and guests.
