COVID 19 FACILITY UPDATE - JAN 7

Thank you for sticking with us during these uncertain times. Your support does, and will continue to, make a difference to those in our community whom we serve. Without our loyal members, we would not be able to continue serving the Minot community and surrounding areas just as we have for the past 76 years.

Since May, YMCA's have opened safely throughout the state; with only 5 possible exposures being reported across all 4 Y's in North Dakota. As members and guest continue to visit all the ND YMCA's during this time, their visits far outweigh the exposures and represents a member visit to exposure ratio of .001%. This percentage shows us that YMCA's have been and continue to be, safe with the help of the increased sanitation, disinfecting, and cleaning protocols in place.

Following the mandates and guidelines set in place by the state of North Dakota and the CDC, we will continue a rigorous cleaning schedule every day and are adding additional staff and sanitation stations as needed. We have also installed new destratification fans that will help keep our Y environment clean and healthy, and we will continue to look into new and innovative ways to keep our facility sanitary.

Nevertheless, we are open and we hope to see you continue your wellness journey at a time when it is needed more than ever. Please read the following carefully as some of our policies have changed.

The Y will continue to have the following hours:

Monday-Friday 5AM-11PM

Saturday & Sunday our hours are 6AM-7PM

**There are no age or time restrictions at this time.**

The following guidelines are effective immediately within our entire facility.

  • Masks are recommended for all members while entering, within, and exiting the facility. As recommended by the CDC and ND Smart guidelines, people who are engaged in high intensity activities, like running, may not be able to wear a mask if it causes difficulty breathing.

  • Members must perform a self-verification of health in accordance to symptoms before entering the facility. Anyone feeling sick, displaying cold or flu like symptoms, shortness of breath, cough, or fever should reconsider entering the facility for the safety of others.
