The Minot Family YMCA, a leading nonprofit dedicated to strengthening communities through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility, recently announced that Nick Gray will assume the title of Executive Director for the Minot Family YMCA.

"On behalf of the YMCA Board of Directors, I am thrilled to announce that following an extensive national search, Nick Gray will become the Minot Family YMCA’s new Executive Director," said Travis Mowbray, Minot Family YMCA Chief Volunteer Officer.
Gray will officially assume his position as Executive Director on June 1, 2023. He was formerly the Associate Executive Director and Facilities Director for the Minot Family YMCA & Triangle Y Camp.
“We are beyond excited to have Nick lead Minot’s YMCA into the future for generations to come. His passion and dedication to making the YMCA a facility for the entire community to be proud of is already evident. With the incredible staff and Nick’s guidance, I have no doubt anything is possible at the Minot Family YMCA!” said Preston Phillips, Minot Family YMCA Board of Directors Vice President.
Gray succeeds Minot Family YMCA Executive Director Roger Mazurek who will officially retire on June 1, 2023, after more than 45 years of service to the Y movement and 28 years in his current role. Gray will become the 10th Executive Director of the Minot Family YMCA since its establishment in 1943.
In his new role, Gray will have the leadership responsibility for the YMCA’s day-to-day general administration of branch operations as well as be responsible for leading the Y into a new era of growth, expanding partnerships, and reimagining the Y’s role as a leading non-profit serving the Minot community and surrounding areas.
"Since a young age I have been coming to the Minot Family YMCA. From the downtown Y to the new Y, to Triangle Y Camp, I have been fortunate enough to transition from being a member to helping lead this amazing organization,” said Gray. “I am honored to be able to serve the Minot YMCA and the Minot community and further the mission of the YMCA. With an amazing staff team and a dedicated group of volunteers, along with our partner Prairie Grit, the Minot YMCA is well equipped to achieve the goal of helping our community grow in body, mind, and spirit."
