GROUP SWIM LESSONS
Group Swim Lessons
Learning to swim at the Y is more than just stroke development. Children are taught in small groups with others of their own age and skill level to facilitate the students' socialization skills. Of course, Y Character Development is at the core of each lesson, as are the essential components of stroke development, water safety, personal safety, and rescue skills. Be a part of it all, and experience swim lessons the Y way.
For more information on group swim lessons, view our Swimming Lesson Policies or please email bolson@ymcaminot.org.

Swim Stages
ALL AGES
There are 3 different categories for our swim lessons, Swim Starters, Swim Basics, and Swim Strokes. Each category has a different focus and includes different stages. Swim Starters develops water enrichment and aquatic readiness in children ages 6 months to 3 years. Swim Basics develops personal water safety and basic swimming skills in students of all ages. And Swim Strokes introduces and refines stroke technique in older students (school age, teens and adults).
