GROUP FITNESS & CLIMBING WALL UPDATE - MAY 16

Thank you for sticking with us during these uncertain times. Your support does, and will continue to, make a difference to those in our community whom we serve. Without our loyal members, we would not be able to continue serving the Minot community and surrounding areas just as we have for the past 76 years.

Following the guidelines set in place by the state of North Dakota and the CDC, we are continuing to open in phases as we reinstate and train our team. Our guidelines are still in place for Phase 1 of our reopening. These guidelines are available here. Please read the following regarding the climbing wall and land aerobics classes:

CLIMBING WALL

  • Due to new recommendations regarding sanitation protocol of equipment, We are unable to open our climbing wall on May 18th as originally planned. We will keep you updated on when we will be able to reopen the climbing area.

GROUP FITNESS CLASSES

  • Select Group Fitness Classes will begin on Monday, May 18th. We have an abbreviated fitness schedule, effective immediately, available at the front desk, on our app, or on our website. Some classes may be moved to the gym accommodate higher class numbers and abide by the temporary capacity protocols.

  • Capacity in the Fitness room is 16 people: 1 instructor and 15 participants. The classes will be first come, first served. Instructors will monitor the number of participants and close the doors once we reach capacity. If the fitness room door is shut this means that the class is full, and we cannot take any more participants.

  • If classes are moved to the gym, the capacity is 25 people: 1 instructor and 24 participants. The classes will be first come, first served. Instructors will monitor the number of participants and put a sign on the door once we reach capacity. If there are signs on the gym doors this means that the class is full, and we cannot take any more participants.

  • Participants must leave at least 6 feet of distance between other participants.

  • We are unable to provide Cycling classes at this time as recommended by state and public health officials. However, the cycling room is open for use.

  • Capacity in the Cycling room is 3 people.

  • Please disinfect all equipment and items with the provided disinfectant after use.

  • There will be no water fountains available for use. Please bring water from home.

  • There will be no sweat towel service available. We encourage you to bring your own.

  • The In-Y Daycare, Kid’s Gym, and Preschool will remain closed until further notice as recommended by the state and public health officials.
