HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL LEAGUES

Strengthen Skills

By playing in the off season, athletes will be able to keep their basketball skills sharp while also competing against other local school athletes.

Team Bonding

Youth will have the opportunity to bond with their own team in the summer and strengthen their communication on and off the court.

Karen Groninger Memorial High School Summer Basketball League

The purpose of this 5 on 5 league is to allow high school teams to play together in the summer to strengthen their basketball skills. Teams will compete against other high schools from around the area. Team standings and scores will be kept. 

 

Grades: 9-12 boys & girls

Fees:  $425/team

​

Registration: March 4 - May 15, 2024

​

Season: M,T,&TH  June 3 - July 18, 2024 (7 games)

League Policies

  • Open to all schools around the area.

  • Athletes must be in grades 9-12 in the upcoming school year.

  • 2 Divisions: Varsity& JV

  • If there are not enough teams to fill each division, divisions may be combined.

  • Games are played in June & July.

  • If you do not show up to your scheduled game and do not notify the YMCA at least an hour before your game starts, you will be kicked out of the league.

  • Games will be officiated by certified officials.

League Rules

The league will follow High School Rules except for:

  • Two 20 minute halves

  • Running clock except for timeouts and last 2 minutes of the game, if under 20 points

  • 3 timeouts per game

  • Coach must be present

  • No pressing when ahead by 20 points
