YOUTH FOOTBALL
Tackle Football
Our youth tackle football division begins to introduce friendly competition while still focusing on game play time equality. They will have fun learning the fundamentals of play including intermediate skills, game rules, teamwork, technique, good sportsmanship, and more.
Flag Football
The youth flag football league is designed to provide a fun, learning experience for participants without a high level of competition. No league standings or score will be kept and no trophies will be awarded. Teams are formed randomly by school and residence.
Quality Coaching Staff
This league is made possible by volunteer coaching staff. Each coach and assistant coach abide by the YMCA football manual and understand that "Everyone Plays, Everyone Wins".
Youth Football Leagues
The Youth Football Leagues are designed to provide youth the opportunity to have fun, learn, participate and establish friendships in the great game of football while nurturing moral, emotional, and academic growth.

Tackle Football League (Competitive)

Equipment will be furnished by the YMCA with the exception of a practice jersey, mouth guard and cleats.

Each Player Must have a Sports Physical completed in 2026 to participate.

The Tackle Football Division has a "Blue Dot" weight rule. This rule is for the safety of the kids. 5&6 grade is 130 lbs.

Optional Football League Camp
This one-day camp, hosted by the Minot State Beaver Football Team, is optional for all players participating in our football leagues. This fundamental camp will focus on basic skills and concepts of football including offense, defense, ball handling, footwork, and more.

Lifetime Lessons
By encouraging fun with levels of friendly competition, our football program teaches good sportsmanship, social and communication skills, teamwork, and more.
​Football Skills Training
Boost your child's football skills with expert training! Our Football skills training program is designed for youth players aged 8-17, where they will receive personalized coaching from 3 current and former Minot State football players. Focus will be on individual skills and position-specific training. Each session will be 75-90 minutes.
