COVID-19 UPDATE NOV. 14TH

ND Government Executive Order Update

Thank you for sticking with us during these uncertain times. Your support does, and will continue to, make a difference to those in our community whom we serve. Without our loyal members, we would not be able to continue serving the Minot community and surrounding areas just as we have for the past 76 years.

Gov. Doug Burgum announced several mitigation measures aimed at slowing the accelerating spread of COVID-19 in North Dakota in order to protect the vulnerable, ensure hospital capacity and keep schools and the economy open.

The measures include a State Health Officer order requiring face coverings to be worn in indoor businesses and indoor public settings as well as outdoor public settings where physical distancing isn’t possible. The order, signed by interim State Health Officer Dirk Wilke, is effective from Nov. 14 through Dec. 13. It includes exceptions for children under age 5, individuals with a medical or mental health condition or disability that makes it unreasonable to wear a mask, and religious services. Burgum also signed an executive order to implement other mitigation measures effective Nov. 16 regarding community sports and activities.

Following the mandates and guidelines set in place by the state of North Dakota and the CDC, we will continue a rigorous cleaning schedule every day and are adding additional staff and sanitation stations as needed. We have also installed new destratification fans that will help keep our Y environment clean and healthy, and we will continue to look into new and innovative ways to keep our facility sanitary.

Nevertheless, we are open and we hope to see you continue your wellness journey at a time when it is needed more than ever. Please read the following carefully as some of our policies have changed.

The Y will continue to have the following age restrictions:

Monday-Friday our hours are 5AM-11PM

5AM-3PM: Ages 17+ only (from 2-3PM we will be deep cleaning sub-areas of the facility in 15-minute increments)

3-11PM: All Ages (Age policies in Training Center still apply)

Saturday & Sunday our hours are 6AM-9PM

6AM-9AM: Ages 17+ only (from 2-3PM we will be deep cleaning sub-areas of the facility in 15-minute increments)

9AM-9PM: All Ages (Age policies in Training Center still apply)

These adjustments are effective immediately.
